Our son Callum who is 15 yrs old also loves photography, he entered the BBC Countryfile 2009 photographic competition. The photo he entered into the competition was taken locally at Earlswood Lakes in Redhill & it made the final 12 from over 31,000 entries. The final 12 entrants were featured on The Countryfile 2010 calander which is sold for Children in Need. As Callum was the youngest ever entrant to make the final (13 yrs old at the time)The BBC arranged a photography experience with the wildlife photographer & presenter Chris Packham at Ham House which was a great day for Callum & was featured on The Countryfile Show on BBC1. We have made Callum’s photo into some small A6 size greetings cards which we sell with all profits from the card going to a local Charity ‘Swans & Friends Bird Rescue’ who are based in Salfords Redhill. They work along side the Surrey/Sussex/Kent Police Forces, the RSPCA/RSPB/The National Swan Sanctuary and many other animal rescue centres. They help mainly swans & birds but also any other wildlife in need. We sell the cards at £1.00 each and 65p from each card goes directly to Swans & Friends Bird Rescue. Each card will come with a quality envelope & cello bag. We also sell the photo as a canvas with between £5 & £10 going direct to the charity dependant on size of canvas.
